Aura Scanning
In the meditational sciences, it is understood that the human body is made up of energy. This energy is nothing but the manifestation of the colour vibrations within us which impact our very consciousness and being. The aura can be visualized as these very colour vibrations.
In the meditational sciences, different colours indicate different emotional states in a person which is manifested in our aura. Broadly, bright colours signify an elated and happy state while dull colours signify the opposite, unhappy and depressed states. It must be noted that no person’s aura is composed of a single colour. Since every individual manifests a combination of emotions, consequently, their aura will also be manifested as a mix of various colours.
While our entire body reflects our aura, there are certain centres in our body, the energy centres, where they appear more intensely. In Preksha Meditation, these are known as the Chaitanya Kendras, roughly translated as the psychic centres, and these represent different characteristics of an individual’s personality. For example, the spot between the eyebrows, also known as the Darshan Kendra, is the centre of intuitive power. Similarly, the Anand Kendra, located near the heart and below the ribs, is the centre of happiness. In the same way, the Shakti Kendra, located at the bottom of the spine, is centre of power.
The various disorders and ailments that afflict us also affect our aura. There must be a balance of colours in our aura and any imbalance in the aura affects us physically, mentally, and emotionally. If we can take care of our physical, mental, and emotional health, then our aura will also be corrected automatically. Conversely, correcting our aura can also help us address our disorders.
This is where Preksha Meditation turns to Leshya Dhyaan or Colour Meditation which is a technique to correct the aura and thereby address the related disorder. In order to, however, correct the disorder, a first and fundamental step is to read the aura correctly. This is achieved through what is known as aura scanning. At the Kendra, rigorous aura scanning is carried out to determine the exact state of energy levels in the chakras and if they are damaging the aura of the individual. A psychological analysis of the personality to assess the dominant factors required to be worked upon, such as fear, anger, greed, etc. is carried out in aura scanning. This in turn helps in determining which particular energy centre and colour need to be worked upon.
